Testimonials

Behavioral and Recovery, Columbus Ohio

Parkside definitely saved my life! I met wonderful people there, that I will never forget such as other patients & staff members. Without the wonderful group of people that were there for me & with me, I don’t know what I would have done or how I would have gotten through my days there. The people definitely made it possible and A LOT easier than it would have been if I tried to do it alone!

Behavioral and Recovery, Columbus Ohio

Parkside was my saving grace when entering recovery. Majority of the staff is caring with an awesome sense of humor and humility. The clinicians are attentive and a special recognition should go out to my counselor, Tim G who has forever impacted my life. The food is edible and they have recently implemented various activities in with their traditional 12 step group therapies. Parkside is not without flaws, but is ever evolving. Just like most things in this world, you will most certainly get out of it what you put in to it. Go in with an open mind and a willingness to change, and Parkside will help you do the rest.

Treatment Program Features

Detox

Detox is overseen by experienced physicians and 24-hour nursing care. We believe that a safe detox is just the beginning of recovery and must be followed by continued treatment to continue recovery. This stage lasts from 3-10 days, depending on the substance used and health of the client.

Residential For Dual Diagnosis

A substance use disorder coupled with one or more mental health disorders can cause significant damage to your life. The process of recovery for clients with dual diagnosis has to be medical, educational, and therapeutic in order to take root. In addition to participating in our excellent residential program, clients with co-occurring disorders receive specialized care by our certified medical and clinical staff who work together to correctly diagnose and treat underlying mental health disorders that may otherwise create barriers to success.

With proper medication and therapy, we aid in the modification of a client’s thinking, attitude, and behavior. We are able to not only treat substance use disorders, but also co-occurring mental health issues. Within our structured, healing environment, we are able to ease clients into the significant lifestyle changes required for recovery.

Intensive Outpatient

In this level of care, clients attend treatment programming at the Woods at Parkside for three hours a day, three days a week. Clients can choose either morning or evening sessions. This schedule allows clients to return to the work setting while continuing treatment.

Residential

Residential is where treatment truly begins. We subscribe to a 12-step philosophy and use a traditional, up-to-45-day treatment program that has proven for decades to be effective. Our program includes: Individual and group counseling, 12-step introduction, relapse prevention, stress management, art therapy, family education, recreational therapy, music therapy, life skills groups and group fitness.

Partial Hospitalization

In this level of care, clients attend treatment programming at the Woods at Parkside for eight hours a day, seven days a week, and return to their homes in the evening. Clients begin to reintegrate into family and social life while our team provides structured programming during the day. Estimated duration of this level of care is up to 21 days.

Offsite Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

An offsite, partial hospitalization program is available for our dual-diagnosed and Medicare clients after intensive treatment.

In this level of care, clients attend treatment programming at our offsite PHP facility. This level of outpatient care allows patients to transition back to their daily lives while continuing to work on their recoveries.

Clients attend treatment programming for five hours a day, five days a week.

Breakfast and lunch are also included.

Estimated duration of this level of care is four to eight weeks.

Programs & Services

Recreational Therapy

Going to a rehab center can be intimidating. It’s an entirely new area for most people, and you might worry that you might not receive quality treatment. Fortunately, there are many treatment options on top of traditional detox, inpatient treatment, outpatient care, etc., and these can supplement your addiction recovery care and improve your odds of achieving long-term sobriety.

Music Therapy

Musical therapy is a proven way to assist patients with their recovery goals. We are proud to offer this service in addition to life skills groups and recreational therapy to our patients who struggle with mental health and/or substance use disorders. Read more about this program below to further understand how you can heal through this innovative program.

Life Skills Groups

At our treatment center, we provide a variety of mental health and addiction recovery treatment modalities. However, we also like to go above and beyond, which is why we also offer our life skills groups. These fun, welcoming classes teach our residents vital skills that will help them navigate life after recovery treatment.
