Chemical dependencies and behavioral health disorders are
life-crippling diseases. The process for recovery for alcohol
abuse, chemical dependency and behavioral disorders has to be
both educational and therapeutic. Successful recovery requires
a significant adjustment to the lifestyle. This entails a
meaningful modification in thinking, attitude and behavior. Our
goal is to not only treat substance abuse problems but to
identify and contend with the contributing factors.
The Woods at Parkside is a structured, healing environment that
provides assessment and a variety of programs to individualize
the distinctive needs for each of our clients. Our facility
also offers specialized programs tailored for Professionals. The
following programs are offered at The Woods of Parkside:
Medical Detoxification
Residential Services
Partial Hospitalization
Intensive
Outpatient
Intensive Relapse
Program
Continuing Care
Professionals

Short Term Education Program
Along with the programs, our facility regularly conducts group
counseling sessions and individual one-on-one therapy and
treatment. Families are always encouraged to participate in
their beloved’s recovery process.
Providing successful results to our clients is the primary
purpose for our staff at The Woods at Parkside.
Medical
Detoxification:
The medically managed detoxification unit is staffed twenty-four
hours a day by registered nurses, who specialize in the
treatment of substance abuse and mental disorders. Physicians
see clients every day and are continuously available to the
unit. Parkside is on the cutting edge of new treatment
modalities and is one of the few facilities in the country using
Buprenorphine to treat withdrawal symptoms and stabilize clients
suffering from opioid dependency.

program.

clients to begin to reintegrate into family and social life
while providing structured programming during the day.

In this level of care, clients attend programming for three
hours a day. Programming is offered in the morning and in the

setting while continuing treatment.

Intensive Relapse
Program:
This innovative program addresses the unique needs of clients
who have previously completed a treatment program but have had
difficulty remaining free from drug or alcohol use. The focus
is on identifying the warning signs and behavioral patterns that
make the client vulnerable to relapse.

Clients who successfully complete our treatment programs may be
referred to weekly continuing care. This small group program
meets two hours a week and provides ongoing support as clients
return fully to work and family life. This group is led by
Parkside personnel who specialize in the treatment of substance
abuse and mental health issues.
